The strange doings in Washington were just a small component of the “what were they thinking?” march of folly in this surrealistic new world.

While the Democrats were still listed as “pro-Israel” members of Congress on AIPAC’s political donations page, the option of donating to them was unavailable. 

The House voted 314 to 104 to defeat the measure, offered as an amendment to a State Department spending bill by Republican Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky.

Now, as AIPAC has rapidly transformed into a radioactive bogeyman among Democrats and Bush’s fellow progressives have mounted an ascent across the party, Bush is out for revenge.

Senate hopeful John Deaton warned that mixed messages from Trump and Netanyahu over the Iran war are eroding American trust in Israel and strengthening Tehran.

“The prime minister of Israel has failed,” Rep. Haley Stevens said when asked about Iran, saying that both Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump had failed to achieve “long-term peace."

Antisemitism knows no political boundaries. While on the Left more seems directed at Israel with some spillover to the American Jewish community, the targets on the Right tend to be Jews.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has drawn the ire of progressives over the years as a moderate lawmaker with an endorsement from AIPAC.

What happened in New York is being played out in other areas of the United States, providing evidence that the anti-Israel tremors in the Democratic Party extend beyond the biggest US city.
