Canned corn, Prinir
One of the most beloved categories in the Israeli pantry gets another yellow, intriguing boost.
Prinir’s canned corn (550 grams, NIS 10) represents its first entry into the genre, and comes in two versions – classic and light. The local company, which highlights support for blue-and-white agriculture and crops, uses here Royalty and Sentinel varieties from the fields of Emek HaMaayanot, Jezreel Valley, Yavne'el Valley, Ramat Sirin, Yagur and the Hula Valley, in a move that at the very least creates identification and connection, depth and added value.
Inside, as we have learned to know and love, are juicy and slightly sweet kernels that work excellently in any kitchen task – from casseroles and salad to omelets and baked goods, without forgetting the most obvious version, which is straight from the can, with a large spoon.
