MP Melanie Ward, former chief executive of Medical Aid for Palestinians, has submitted a complaint to the Charity Commission regarding the charities, which she said are funding "illegal settlements."

Itamar Marcus, the founder of Palestinian Media Watch, noted that one of the participating banks has explicitly refused requests to close accounts reportedly used to pay released terrorists.

Axios's Barak Ravid reported on X/Twitter that the proposal is scheduled to be brought before the cabinet for approval. Additional details about the plan were not immediately available.

Preserving economic stability in the West Bank has always been a cornerstone of Israeli policy. Operation Swords of Iron led to a sharp change in Israeli policy toward it.

On Tuesday, the United Kingdom, Canada, Norway, France, New Zealand, and Australia announced new sanctions against several individuals and organizations in the West Bank.

"The Gaza committee is an Israeli recipe for reinforcing Palestinian division," Rajoub said. "We should never have agreed to or accepted the committee under any circumstances."

In one released video, the child's father can be seen holding his body and trying to keep pressure on the boy's head wound. 

The UN report claimed that Israeli authorities had enabled settler attacks through financial and military support, in an alleged climate of impunity fostered by judicial and law-enforcement bodies.

Six countries, including the UK and Canada, imposed joint sanctions on West Bank settlers and entities over violence, calling the actions a threat to a two-state solution.

The UK designated seven entities and individuals tied to West Bank settlers.
