Minoo, a left-wing student at a university in Tehran, told The Media Line that the January uprising "demonstrated how millions of people...could overthrow the regime."

The video clip, which was under 15 seconds, appeared to show Khamenei speaking with a group of other men. No date or location was specified in the footage. 

Basij deputy Ghasem Ghoraishi said that footage and other documentation showing Khamenei among the public and out in the streets would be released in the future.

The comments followed a report by Iran’s Tabnak media site on Monday saying that Khamenei warned Pezeshkian that he (Khamenei) would accept the Iranian president's resignation if he resubmits it.

Pezeshkian pledged Iran's support for the Palestinian leaders' decision in a phone call with the head of Hamas' political bureau.
