Police said the investigation began after officers received complaints of break-ins at multiple locations in Bnei Brak, including a synagogue, a residence, and a supermarket.

According to a police statement regarding the incident, the Israelis entered the city in an attempt to locate a motorcycle that had been stolen from the settlement of Elad.

Police said shots were fired from a moving vehicle at another nearby car earlier Monday. Officers from the Yoav Unit operating in the area identified the suspected vehicle and began searching for it.

In one video seen by The Jerusalem Post, haredi protesters try to push through the fence and get into a physical altercation with construction workers. 

The suspect was evacuated in serious condition to Wolfson Medical Center in Holon to receive medical treatment, according to medical sources.

Ben-Gvir’s office has not confirmed that legal pressure caused the reported cancellation.

The indictment came at the culmination of a year-long undercover investigation that began in July of 2025, after suspicion arose regarding the suspects using social media to recruit victims.

Shaulov and his passengers did not need to be taken to the hospital, Magen David Adom stated.

Separately, Israel Police on Thursday arrested a resident of the West Bank town of Tarqumiyah suspected of being involved in the criminally motivated kidnapping of an IDF soldier.
