Australia pulled out of West Bank sanctions at last minute, EU diplomats reveal - report

Diplomatic sources told the ABC they were surprised after Australia declined to join a 12-nation, UK-led coalition imposing sanctions on Israeli West Bank settlements late in negotiations.

 LAST WEEK, Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong issued a statement about the sanctions on Israelis saying: ‘We call on Israel to hold perpetrators of settler violence to account and to cease its ongoing settlement activity.’
