Iran nuclear talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called for Arab nations to cut relations with Israel in support of Gaza during an interview with the Saudi-owned newspaper Asharq al-Awsat.

"They want Iran to be obedient to America. The Iranian nation will stand with all of its power against those who have such erroneous expectations," Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was reported as saying.

Sources told The Jerusalem Post that Trump said that Iran was still welcome at the table, but that the US would not convince them to negotiate.

"I hope [the war] is over," Trump said at a dinner held in attendance with US and Israeli leaders such as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US special envoy Steve Witkoff.

The case for strengthening our partnership should be made now, when the evidence for its effectiveness is impossible to ignore. If not now, when?

The deputy foreign minister said that the US "has not made their position clear" regarding nuclear talks, as the Trump administration said they wish to resume negotiations.

While Iran’s nuclear infrastructure remains largely intact following Israeli strikes, deterrence has been temporarily reestablished, creating a window for a diplomatic initiative.

"We have taken note with great concern of the various statements concerning a considerable increase in enrichment capacity, and in particular, the establishment of new infrastructure."

If Trump blocks Israel from attacking Tehran's nuclear sites without resolving the threat, Jerusalem will miss a rare opportunity to eliminate the Iranian nuclear threat.

Iran is "exploiting the time to modify nuclear facilities in ways that could diminish the impact of a potential military strike on those sites and their outcomes,” sources said.
