Iran, which backs Hamas and supported the October 7 massacre in Israel by Hamas, now says that it wants to see political efforts to end the “Gaza crisis.”

The Iranian regime is a well known state sponsor of terrorist organizations across the Middle East, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis.

In a recent speech, IRGC commander Hossein Salami hailed Iran's efforts in derailing Israeli espionage as the crux of Iran's Middle East policy.

Hamas deputy leader Saleh al-Arouri was born in 1966 and detained in the 1990s by Israel. He eventually left prison and moved to Turkey before migrating to Qatar and Lebanon.

Iran has already keyed in most of its proxies, so the question for Tehran is what to do next.
