The continued clashes between the US and Iran have led to fewer vessels traveling through the Strait of Hormuz, even as the US lifted its naval blockade on Iranian ports.

Iranian armed forces launched attacks on US military infrastructure in Gulf states on Thursday following US strikes on Iran's southern provinces, further eroding a three-week-old ceasefire.

Kuwait said its armed forces had engaged with a cruise missile, three ballistic missiles and 10 drones in its airspace, and that one person had been injured from falling shrapnel.

US officials told The Jerusalem Post that America was not responsible for the explosions. However, a Bushehr official told IRNA that a military site in the region was hit by a US-Israeli projectile.

A US official told The Jerusalem Post that “Everything depends on Iran’s response. If they continue firing, what happened last night could become a daily or even weekly occurrence. We are prepared.”

"When you have a ceasefire and Iran is basically violating the ceasefire, I think it is totally crucial that the US forcefully react," said NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

According to the IDF statement, the four terrorists had been advancing attacks against IDF troops operating in the strip.

Trump also reportedly said that he is fine with negotiations with Iran continuing past a previous August 18 deadline for a nuclear deal.

"There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started," said US President Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated three individuals and six entities for "facilitating financial transactions on behalf of ISIS."
