Sirens sounded across Bahrain, the country's Interior Ministry announced on Friday morning, urging citizens to remain calm and head to the nearest shelter.
Jordanian armed forces intercepted seven Iranian missiles and six drones later on Friday afternoon, and Kuwait announced that its air defenses had intercepted multiple 'hostile' targets from Iran.
The attacks follow Iran's overnight strikes against Kuwait and US military infrastructure in Jordan.
Iran's army quickly took responsibility for the strikes, reportedly having targeted the fuel tanks, warehouses, and accommodations of the United States's Sheik Issa base in Bahrain using drones, according to Iran's semi-official news outlet ISNA.
Further, ISNA reported that the earlier strikes in Jordan had targeted US Air Force infrastructure at the American Al-Azraq base.
Later on Friday, the IRGC-linked Tasnim news agency reported that Iran had targeted an observation tower at the headquarters of the US' Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
Amazon's data center in Bahrain was also struck, according to Tasnim.
Tasnim also reported that Iran had launched drones at US military bases in Kuwait and Qatar, including the Al-Adiri base.
Drone crashes into Iraqi airport, no injuries reported
Separately, a drone crashed near Erbil International Airport in Iraq on Friday, prompting a temporary suspension of flights, two security sources told Reuters.
No injuries were immediately reported, while a fire at the site was being brought under control.
