From the world of burgers to the world of pizza: The BBB Group is entering the pizza market for the first time and has announced the acquisition of the pizza brand “American Dolce,” from the Dolce group.
As part of the deal, estimated at NIS 1 million, the group acquired the operations of the “American Dolce” pizzeria located at 3 Zarhin Street in Ra’anana. The deal does not include the Dolce Italian restaurant in Ra’anana, which will continue to operate separately.
The move marks a strategic expansion for the BBB Group – from the worlds of burgers and Mexican cuisine into the pizza category, with entry into a growing premium segment within the fast-casual food market. The group plans to open approximately 25 “American Dolce” branches across the country through franchisees in the coming years.
As part of the deal, the brand’s owners and founders, Dolev Allali and Moran Shakuf, will continue to manage and lead the brand after the acquisition. The two are considered experts in the pizza field, having studied and specialized in Naples, Italy – the world capital of pizza.
“American Dolce” is the only brand in Israel that offers, under one roof, three completely different types of pizza in unique styles: New York–style pizza, pan pizza, and Detroit-style pizza – the only one of its kind in Israel. All pizzas are made on site, by hand, using high-quality ingredients imported from around the world.
Ahuva Turgeman, CEO of the BBB Group, said: “We identify significant growth potential in the pizza world, similar to what we did in the past in the burger market. American Dolce is a brand with strong DNA, well known and loved by the Israeli consumer, and it offers an exceptional product with a professional team. The connection with Dolev and Moran allows us to expand into a new category while maintaining quality.”
The BBB Group is one of the largest restaurant groups in Israel, operating more than 100 branches and restaurants nationwide. The group owns leading brands including the BBB chain, Burgers, Moses Shop, and more recently RAPIDOS – a Latin Mexican street food chain. Dor Alon, owned by Moti Ben Moshe, holds a 50% stake in the group.
