For Shyfrin, time is both a physical reality and a deeply personal experience. We measure it in seconds, years and decades, yet our perception of it can feel entirely different. A moment can seem endless, while years can disappear in an instant. His music explores the tension between the time that surrounds us and the desire to somehow escape its limits.
“I’m running away from time. I’m breaking away from time. But time is still around,” he sings, capturing the struggle at the heart of the piece. Time may be impossible to outrun, but Shyfrin's lyrics suggest that there could be another way beyond its reach.
