The amount of gifts and sets, packages and holiday boxes is accumulating on the virtual (and real) shelf of our lives. There are many options to choose from and even more ways to make someone happy. There is none more suitable, however, than a package from Spicehaus. For Passover, and for every weekday of the year, actually.
The bottled cocktail house of Yotam Shilo knows this, and works hard to maintain its status with an impressive catalog, tailored to its audience but also challenging it at the same time, with consistent innovations and surprises, announcements and headlines. This time, it is a festive collaboration with the French cognac house Godet. Not that we needed an excuse, but here it is anyway.
This Passover star pours a Paloma (NIS 99 per family-size bottle) based on the wonderful cognac of the veteran brand, of course, while attempting to refresh the familiar tequila drink and at the same time refresh everything we think of when hearing the word "cognac". The result is deep and excellent as could be expected, with tangy citrus notes of red grapefruit juice, and a delicate aromatic envelope of vanilla and almonds. A special and limited edition, so go ahead.
In addition to this fiery red, many other kosher-for-Passover cocktails are sold, including a rose and lychee gin popular year-round, a spicy passion fruit margarita, a cosmopolitan and the spiced negroni – a constant personal favorite. All of these are sealed with the playful "Four Sons" set (NIS 189), which has been updated and honored with a comeback – straight to the center of the table (but close to you, after all).
