Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, Recanati Winery
One of the best local wineries welcomes the spring holiday with the produce of its land, and no battle winds will harm the clinking of the glasses.
Recanati’s Passover menu offers a great many options and a wide range of prices and flavors of course, alongside two prominent table stars, and rightly so. Sauvignon Blanc from the Galilee Vineyards series (NIS 69) is a dry white wine from vineyard grapes in the Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights that were harvested in 2024 and provide a refreshing and light aroma of citrus and florality, and a wonderful sip for the beginning of the gathering. With it comes Cabernet Sauvignon from the Kerem Lebanon series (NIS 109), a dry red wine from the 2022 harvest, and part of the winery’s prestigious Atelier house. Its grapes grew in the Yiftach vineyard in the Upper Galilee, were aged for 18 months in French oak barrels and emerged from them spiced and aromatic, with a rich and complex sip and a smooth finish.
