A significant development for homebound patients and their families: Clalit Medical Engineering, in collaboration with the Dan Petah Tikva district of Clalit, concludes six months of an innovative pilot in which advanced X-ray services are delivered directly to the patient’s home, without the need to visit a clinic or hospital. The service is provided to patients confined to their homes.

The service allows X-ray examinations to be conducted at the patient’s home using advanced mobile imaging equipment, operated by professional and certified teams. The examinations are carried out in accordance with all strict protocols and standards, with imaging results sent directly to the treating physician for rapid diagnosis and medical decision-making in real time. During the pilot, nearly 100 X-rays were performed at patients’ homes, with high-quality images sufficient for full medical interpretation. The pilot focused primarily on homebound patients, for whom leaving the house involves physical, logistical, and sometimes medical challenges. The service enables early diagnosis, prevents medical deterioration, reduces effort, and enhances the patient’s treatment experience and personal security.
