The Den Bengaluru, owned by Israel’s Dan Hotels, joined Hilton’s LXR Hotels & Resorts collection on Tuesday, marking the luxury brand’s entry into India.

The hotel is located in Whitefield, a business and technology district in the southern Indian city of Bengaluru, also known as Bangalore. Hilton said the property is owned by Dan Hospitality India Pvt. Ltd. and managed by Hilton.

Dan opened The Den in late 2017 as its first hotel outside Israel. Its addition to LXR brings the existing property into Hilton’s luxury portfolio and its Hilton Honors loyalty program.

The hotel has 226 rooms, five dining and social venues, wellness and recreation facilities, and approximately 1,950 square meters of event space.

Candice D’Cruz, Hilton’s vice president for luxury brands in Asia Pacific, said the hotel’s addition marked an important stage in LXR’s expansion and brought the brand to India through a property with an established connection to its surroundings.

Hilton acquires Dan Hotel's Bengaluru property

LXR is Hilton’s collection of independent luxury hotels, each retaining its own character and emphasizing experiences connected to its location.

“The hotel has always shared a close connection with Whitefield,” said Vinesh Gupta, The Den Bengaluru’s general manager. He said joining LXR would allow the hotel to build on that relationship through local experiences and personalized service, while giving guests access to Hilton Honors.

The hotel introduced two programs alongside its entry into the collection. The Pause Program focuses on rest and wellness, with room amenities including sleep kits and a choice of pillows, as well as food options at The Creek restaurant.

Whitefield Unscripted offers activities outside the hotel, including a route through the neighborhood’s historic bungalows and longstanding institutions. Another activity takes guests to a local farm to harvest produce, which the hotel’s kitchen team then uses to prepare a meal.

Guests can also use Hilton Honors benefits when booking directly through Hilton’s channels, including combinations of points and cash, member rates and digital check-in.

Hilton said LXR’s global portfolio included more than 40 properties already operating or in development.
